Janet Huey is a Producer, Director, Choreographer, Writer, Creative Solutionist and Performing Artist.
She has been working in the entertainment industry for well over a decade and has excelled in every discipline. Janet began dancing at the age of three and choreographed her first dance show in her living room at ten. This deep love of performance lead her to study Musical Theater at AMDA in Los Angeles. This ultimately brought her to her current home, New York City, where her bicoastal lifestyle allows her to flourish in all avenues of art.
As a Producer, Janet is currently working on Tuesdays with Brian created by Jacq Frances. She recently worked on The Well written by Miles Orduña, Consider the Lilies by Cristina Spina and Frank Pugliese, and Love Abridged By Corrine Kassor. She’s currently developing her first action film set for production Fall 2022. She recently Produced, Directed and Choreographed a live showcase, EDGEWALKERS at 3 Dollar Bill in Bushwick as a recipient of the City Artists Corps Grant.
As a Director and Choreographer, Janet has been working in the world of music videos for over a decade. Recent work includes Makers Mark by Copyslut, Ain’t I Am Woman by Pauline Jean, Baby by Sydaiya Rehema. She had the pleasure of Choreographing Body Roll by Ja’Shayla alongside Secret Art Studios.
She is the Creative Director for Edgewalker Entertainment, a queer owned production company specializing in music recording, video production, live events, creative coaching & graphic design. She’s been known to solve problems on the fly in every aspect of her life and career and is frequently consulting in every genre of entertainment.
As a Performing Artist, Janet has had the pleasuring of performing on Off Broadway stages to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. From musicals to music videos, she has always loved performing both on stage and behind the camera. She is a dancer, singer and actress specializing in fire, bellydance and burlesque.
Janet splits her time between New York and Los Angeles. She loves sushi, swaroski’s and spin class.
